1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Grounded (“the Service”), operated by Grounded Money Admin (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Grounded is a financial wellness companion that provides personalized insights and conversation through AI-powered chat. The Service includes an onboarding questionnaire, a financial health score, AI chat, and optional transaction scanning.

Grounded is not a financial advisor, bank, lender, or licensed professional service. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions involving significant financial consequences.

3. Beta Program

Grounded is currently in a beta testing phase. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Service may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features.
  • Grounded administrators may access your data (including financial profile, conversations, transactions, goals, and mood check-ins) at any time for support, debugging, and service improvement.
  • Features, pricing, and data handling practices may change during the beta period.
  • You accepted these terms through the Beta Program Notice presented during onboarding.

If you do not agree to these beta terms, please discontinue use and contact support@harryzhu.com to request account deletion.

4. Eligibility & Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Grounded. If you are between 13 and 17, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

For parents and guardians: If you allow your minor child to use Grounded, you are responsible for monitoring their activity, including their chat conversations with the AI. We strongly encourage you to review their interactions regularly.

We are developing features to connect parent and teen accounts, which will allow parents to receive silent alerts about potentially concerning conversations and provide oversight tools. Until these features are available, parental supervision and open dialogue about AI interactions are essential.

If you are under 13, you may not use the Service. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.

5. Accounts & Authentication

You sign in via Google OAuth through Supabase. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We do not store your Google password.

6. Subscription Tiers & Payments

Grounded offers three tiers: Free, Basic ($4/month), and Premium ($12/month). Tier features and limits are described on the platform and may change with reasonable notice. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers.

7. AI Chat & Content

Chat responses are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude) and are informational only. Responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation. Do not rely on AI responses for major financial decisions.

We reserve the right to set and modify usage limits (message counts, rate limits) at any time.

8. Transaction Data

All users may upload CSV transaction files for AI analysis (upload limits vary by plan). This data is processed by AI to categorize spending and is stored in our database. You may delete your transaction data at any time.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any data you provide. Do not upload data belonging to others without their consent.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse the AI chat system
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Share your account access with others
  • Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service
  • Misrepresent your age or identity

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grounded Money Admin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from reliance on AI responses.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page (feature coming soon) or by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account.
